Triathlon and multisport club

Craven Energy Triathlon Club Novice section

If you are looking here you are probably new to triathlon or multisport events and wondering how to start. You may be wondering whether you are a good enough athlete to even consider it, or may be challenged by the idea of being an athlete at all. But you are interested in triathlon (or possibly one or two of the disciplines) and that's the starting point and joining Craven Energy can take you from there.

The novice area of the club is co-ordinated by Claire and Linda who joined Craven Energy in 2010 after years of no training whatsoever and having no sporting glories in their respective pasts, and who both successfully completed the Skipton Triathlon in 2011 and are now hooked. So however inadequate you feel, you are not alone.

The swim training has a novice session on Saturday mornings led by one of our excellent coaches, while more confident swimmers can join the later session on Saturdays and the open water swims. Additionally we are starting a new novice bike ride group which will cater for any level of ability and confidence. The day and time of these rides will vary so look for ‘Nutty Crunch' on the Club Calendar. The weekly Sunday rides are friendly and include less challenging sessions so again check the Calendar and forums to see what's going on.
